Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Production Engineer for a remote-first role in South Africa. You will optimize manufacturing processes, drive efficiency, and ensure quality across lines, collaborating with global teams via digital tools.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in production/process engineering, strong Lean/Six Sigma background, and proficient CAD/ERP/MES software. Remote work with flexible schedule and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in production/process engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt a plus).
• Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and data-driven problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and refine manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and bottlenecks; propose data-driven solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product development and launches.
