Placements24 is seeking a Production Process Engineer for a fully remote role in South Africa. You will optimize production processes, apply Lean and Six Sigma, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, quality, and cost.

You will monitor KPIs, design layouts, and drive SOP development while supporting new product introductions with scalable processes and robust documentation.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in production/manufacturing engineering.
• Proven Lean and Six Sigma experience; data-driven problem solving.
• Strong analytical abilities and remote collaboration skills.
• Experience with process mapping and simulation tools is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze existing production processes to identify inefficiencies, waste, and improvement areas.
• Develop and implement process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Monitor KPIs and analyze data to track progress and trends.
• Design and optimize production line layouts for efficiency and safety.
• Collaborate with production teams, quality, and maintenance to resolve issues.
• Create and maintain SOPs and work instructions.
• Introduce new technologies to enhance production capabilities.
• Conduct root cause analysis for defects and implement corrective actions.
• Support new product introductions ensuring scalable, robust processes.
• Regularly report performance gains and cost savings to management.
