Job summary

Jobgether SRL, listed on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Senior Product Analyst based in South Africa. You will act as an independent analytical voice within a product team focused on matching, relationships, messaging, and AI-assisted user experiences.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in product analytics.
• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Strong practical knowledge of mathematical statistics and probability theory.
• Proven hands-on experience designing and running A/B tests, including test sizing, significance, and interpretation.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with data extraction, processing, analysis and visualization; Superset familiarity is a plus.
• Deep understanding of product/marketing metrics (LTV, CPA, retention, conversion rate).
• Strong product thinking and ability to interpret user behavior behind metrics.
• Autonomy, ownership, and ability to identify growth opportunities end-to-end.
• Strong critical-thinking, data validation, and communication skills.
• Experience with social products, dating, gaming, or two-sided marketplaces is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design and run product experiments end to end, including hypothesis development, test duration, sample-size requirements, and interpretation of results.
• Unify product metrics across multiple product areas into a coherent measurement framework.
• Act as an independent analytical voice, grounding product decisions in evidence.
• Identify high-leverage growth opportunities with small investments or changes.
• Connect product metrics to business goals, estimates, and costs, monitoring performance.
• Generate, prioritize, and validate product hypotheses with product managers.
• Investigate anomalies and root causes, highlighting potential issues.
• Assess product initiatives against business objectives and provide data-driven priorities.
• Continuously improve analytical processes and rigor.
