Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior E-commerce Analyst to join a remote team. This role drives data-informed decision-making across marketing, sales, and website performance for the Gauteng region, gathering, interpreting, and presenting complex data to identify trends and opportunities.

Responsibilities include building dashboards, analyzing sales, traffic and customer behavior, conducting CRO and segmentation studies, and delivering actionable insights to marketing, product and operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in e-commerce analytics, data analysis, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel and BI platforms (Tableau/Power BI).
• Experience with Google Analytics and web analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze e-commerce sales data, website traffic, and customer behavior to identify key trends and insights.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track performance against KPIs.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses into CRO, customer segmentation, and marketing campaign effectiveness.
• Provide actionable recommendations to marketing, product, and operations teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and ensure data integrity.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging analytical tools and techniques.
