Placements24 in Soweto seeks a Process Safety Engineer to help ensure safe operation of Oil & Gas facilities. You will identify hazards, assess risks, and implement risk reduction measures across process plants.

The role requires a degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and 3-5 years of experience, with strong knowledge of PHA, LOPA, SIS; API/CCPS/OSHA PSM familiarity; and good collaboration with operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in Process Safety Engineering.
• Knowledge of PHA methodologies, LOPA, and SIS design principles.
• Familiarity with API, CCPS, and OSHA PSM.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) such as HAZOP, LOPA, and FMEA.
• Develop and maintain Process Safety Information (PSI).
• Implement and manage LOPA and ensure SIS integrity.
• Investigate process safety incidents and identify root causes.
• Develop and implement MOC, PSSR, and mechanical integrity procedures.
• Ensure compliance with process safety regulations and standards.
