Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering with 8+ years in process safety within oil and gas, familiar with API, NFPA, OSHA, and risk assessment methods. Strong leadership and remote collaboration are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) such as HAZOP, LOPA, and What-If studies.
• Develop, implement, and manage the Process Safety Management (PSM) system according to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct incident investigations and root cause analyses for process safety events, recommending corrective actions.
• Review engineering designs and modifications to ensure compliance with process safety standards.
• Develop and deliver process safety training programs to relevant personnel.
• Maintain process safety metrics and reporting, ensuring continuous improvement initiatives are identified and actioned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in process safety engineering within the oil and gas sector .
• In-depth knowledge of PSM elements , hazard identification techniques, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Experience with quantitative risk assessment (QRA) is a plus.
• Familiarity with relevant international codes and standards (e.g., API, NFPA, OSHA).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
