Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of process safety experience in chemical or Oil & Gas sectors.
• Thorough understanding of HAZOP methodologies and risk assessment techniques.
• Knowledge of PSM elements including mechanical integrity, operating procedures, and emergency response.
• Experience with SIL assessments and LO-PA analysis.

About the Role

Our client, a major player in the Oil & Gas and chemical processing industry , is seeking a qualified Process Safety Engineer to join their team in Vereeniging . This vital role focuses on ensuring the highest standards of safety in process design, operations, and maintenance to prevent incidents and protect personnel, assets, and the environment. You will be responsible for conducting hazard identification and risk assessments, developing safety procedures, and implementing best practices for process safety management. Your expertise will be critical in maintaining operational integrity and compliance within the Gauteng industrial landscape, contributing to a strong safety culture across all operations.

Key Responsibilities
