Job summary
Placements24 in Bloemfontein is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to design, optimize and troubleshoot Oil & Gas processes, ensuring safe, efficient operations from new facility design to plant improvements.
The ideal candidate holds a Chemical Engineering degree with 7+ years in Oil & Gas, is proficient in HYSYS or Aspen Plus, and has strong thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and mass transfer knowledge, plus safety/risk assessment experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of process engineering experience, oil & gas preferred.
- Proficient with HYSYS or Aspen Plus for simulations.
- Strong thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mass transfer knowledge.
- Experience with safety studies and risk assessments.
Responsibilities
- Develop process designs, PFDs and P&IDs for oil and gas facilities.
- Perform process simulations to optimize plant performance.
- Conduct HAZOP studies and safety reviews.
- Troubleshoot operational problems and improve efficiency, safety, and reliability.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, and control engineers.
