Placements24 is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for our client in Johannesburg. You will design and optimize energy processes, develop P&IDs, and lead feasibility studies while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You should bring 7+ years in process engineering, strong thermodynamics and fluid dynamics knowledge, and hands-on experience with Aspen HYSYS or PRO/II. The role offers a hybrid work model and opportunities for professional growth within a forward-thinking energy company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years progressive experience in process engineering, with energy sector focus.
• Experience with process simulation software and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize process engineering solutions for energy generation and distribution systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies, technical reviews, and cost-benefit analyses for projects and improvements.
• Develop and maintain P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and operation manuals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex operational issues to maximize efficiency.
