About the Role

Our client, a key player in optimizing energy solutions for the mining sector, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join their team in Welkom, Free State . This role focuses on the design, development, and implementation of innovative processes that enhance energy efficiency and sustainability within mining operations. You will play a crucial part in analyzing existing energy systems, identifying areas for improvement, and engineering solutions that reduce operational costs and environmental impact. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in process engineering, with a strong emphasis on energy management and optimization.
• Demonstrated experience within the mining industry or heavy industrial sectors.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, UniSim) and CAD tools.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
• Experience working in Welkom, Free State or similar mining regions is advantageous.
• Knowledge of South African mining regulations and environmental standards is preferred.
