Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years in process engineering with a focus on energy management.
• Experience in mining or heavy industrial sectors.
• Proficiency with Aspen HYSYS or UniSim and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize energy-intensive processes in mining to improve efficiency.
• Design process technologies for energy recovery and utilization.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations for energy-saving initiatives.
• Prepare process design packages with P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and equipment specs.
• Oversee implementation and commissioning of new processes and equipment.
• Collaborate with geologists, metallurgists, and engineers for integrated solutions.
• Monitor process performance with data analytics and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Provide technical training and support to plant operators and maintenance staff.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies in process engineering and energy management.
