Placements24 seeks a Senior Process Engineer for the energy sector in Midrand, Gauteng. Role focuses on design, optimization and integration of advanced energy solutions with a strong emphasis on efficiency and sustainability.

The candidate should bring experience in process design, simulation and troubleshooting within energy projects. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing technical docs, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in process engineering in energy.
• Strong background in process design, simulation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with HAZOP and process safety is a plus.
• Residency or willingness to relocate to Midrand, Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize complex energy process systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies for energy projects including solar/wind/battery storage.
• Perform process simulations to predict performance and identify improvements.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with R&D, operations, and project management for project execution.
• Maintain technical documentation (P&IDs, specs, procedures).
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Stay updated on energy industry advancements.
