Placements24 seeks a Senior Process Development Engineer to lead the end-to-end development and scaling of innovative chemical processes in a fully remote role. You will drive concept development, lab-scale work, pilot plant trials, and support full-scale implementation across global sites.

Applicants should have a Master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering with 8+ years in process development, strong DoE experience, and a proven track record in process simulation, reaction engineering, and safety

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in chemical process development and scale-up.
• Expertise in process simulation, modeling, and experimental design (DoE).
• Strong knowledge of reaction engineering, separation technologies, and process safety.
• Excellent project management and ability to lead multiple projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication for virtual collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and optimization of scalable chemical processes with commercial viability.
• Conduct experimental studies, pilot plant trials, and data analysis to validate designs.
• Develop process documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, and operating manuals.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing across time zones for transfer.
• Identify new technologies to enhance performance and sustainability.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
