Job summary

IHC SA is seeking a Project Manager in our Cape Town office. The role focuses on managing project phases, activities and resources within time, cost and quality constraints to deliver outcomes and ensure client satisfaction. You will report to the Project Engineering Manager and lead the project team.

Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, procurement, and ensuring compliance with quality and HS&E standards. A demanding schedule and travel are expected.

Qualifications

• B. Tech / B. Sc / B. Eng degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering.
• 10-12 years of relevant project management experience.
• Project Management qualification; registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with ECSA.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Engineering Manager to develop operational department year plan.
• Setup project during enquiry and award stages and appoint project teams.
• Manage allocated projects and provide leadership to the project team.
• Schedule and conduct a Project Kick-off meeting.
• Obtain Client approval of scope, delivery schedule, price and commercial conditions.
• Document customer acceptance criteria for each deliverable.
• Develop and manage a Project Schedule outlining activities and tasks.
• Maintain the Project Budget based on contract and scope.
• Ensure quality targets and procedures are defined in a Quality Plan.
• Establish and maintain a client communications plan.
