Placements24 is seeking an organized and proactive Project Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion at our Port Elizabeth facility. The role blends technical expertise with strong project management and stakeholder communication to deliver on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

You will coordinate activities, manage resources, and liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and clients, operating in a hybrid model that balances office

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 5 years' mechanical engineering experience, with at least 2 years in project management.
• Proven track record delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of mechanical engineering projects from planning to closing.
• Develop plans, schedules, and budgets and track progress.
• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to align goals.
• Manage resources including personnel and equipment for efficiency.
• Conduct technical reviews to ensure designs meet specifications.
• Identify and mitigate project risks to achieve outcomes.
