Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Senior Engineering Manager in South Africa to lead Platform and Integrations. You will shape technical direction, roadmaps, and delivery, while staying hands-on when needed and aligning with business goals.

You will develop engineering talent, improve team performance, and foster a culture of ownership in a distributed, fast-paced environment. This role is fully remote within South Africa.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of software development experience as an individual contributor.
• At least 3 years managing engineering teams of 10–15.
• Experience leading two teams and owning roadmaps.
• Hands-on coding in Java, Python, or Go when required.
• DevOps/infrastructure experience with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead Platform and Integrations teams, aligning roadmaps with priorities.
• Define objectives, translate needs into clear roadmaps, and set milestones.
• Monitor progress and improve delivery processes across the SDLC.
• Communicate roadmaps, priorities, risks to stakeholders.
• Own technical roadmaps and architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure/DevOps for reliability and scalability.
• Foster ownership, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
