Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Container Engineer based in South Africa to join a globally distributed engineering team building a high-performance container platform.

You will focus on reliability, security, observability, and cost efficiency of multi-tenant Kubernetes infrastructure across regions, combining software engineering with SRE practices to build robust automation and improve operational resilience.

Competenze

• At least five years of experience in platform engineering, Kubernetes or container platform operations, SRE, or production infrastructure.
• Experience operating production systems at scale and participating in on-call rotations.
• Strong understanding of SLOs, error budgets, and incident response.

Mansioni

• Define and maintain SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for the container platform.
• Lead ORRs for new capabilities and changes with meaningful uptime metrics.
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive blameless postmortems.
• Build, maintain, and deploy automation, controllers, and platform APIs.
• Design and improve CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Implement security automation and automated remediation.
• Develop automated testing suites and pipelines for platform releases.
• Evaluate and evolve container technology stack for multi-tenant environments.
• Improve architecture to optimize infrastructure costs while maintaining security and reliability.
• Help product teams adopt operational best practices and reduce alert noise.
