Placements24 is seeking a Petroleum Geologist in Gauteng, based in Tembisa, to identify and evaluate hydrocarbon-bearing formations and support exploration decisions with robust geological interpretation. You will work closely with engineers and geophysicists on field studies.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Geology, 5+ years in exploration geology, and proficiency with Petrel, GeoGraphix or Kingdom Suite.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Geology or Earth Sciences.
• Minimum 5 years of exploration geology experience, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
• Proficient in geological interpretation software and data integration.

Mansioni

• Analyze geological, geophysical, and geochemical data to identify hydrocarbon reservoirs.
• Construct and maintain subsurface maps, cross-sections, and 3D geological models.
• Evaluate drilling prospects and provide exploration recommendations.
• Work closely with reservoir engineers and geophysicists to integrate data and develop field studies.
• Participate in core analysis programs and log interpretation.
