Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology or related geoscience.
• Minimum 6 years of petroleum geology experience.
• Proficiency in seismic interpretation and well log analysis.
• Experience with geological modeling software (Petrel, Kingdom Suite).
• Strong knowledge of sedimentology, stratigraphy, and structural geology.
• Ability to collaborate with geophysicists and reservoir engineers.

About the Role Our client, a dynamic and forward-thinking exploration and production company, is seeking a skilled Petroleum Geologist to join their team in Tembisa, Gauteng, ZA. This hybrid role offers a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, allowing for a balanced approach to work. You will be responsible for interpreting subsurface geological data, identifying potential hydrocarbon reservoirs, and contributing to exploration and development strategies. This position requires a strong foundation in sedimentology, stratigraphy, structural geology, and basin analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with geophysicists, reservoir engineers, and petrophysicists to build integrated subsurface models and assess prospectivity. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding drilling decisions and maximizing resource potential within our operational areas.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
