Placements24 seeks a seasoned Senior Process Engineer for our Upington petrochemical facility. You will drive process optimization, mentor juniors, and lead major improvement projects while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will leverage deep expertise in chemical engineering, process simulation (Aspen Plus), and APC to deliver reliable, efficient operations and innovative solutions in a large-scale plant environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering; Master's degree advantageous.
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in process engineering with petrochemical focus.
Expertise in process simulation (Aspen Plus) and advanced process control (APC); proven project leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute complex process optimization projects to enhance yield, reduce costs, and improve energy efficiency.
Perform detailed process design, simulation, and analysis for unit operations within a petrochemical context.
Troubleshoot and resolve operational problems, ensuring minimal production disruption.
Develop and implement advanced process control strategies to improve plant stability and performance.
Ensure compliance with SHE regulations specific to petrochemical industry.
Mentor and guide junior process engineers toward continuous improvement.
