Job summary

Red Ember Recruitment is seeking an experienced Operations Finance Manager to join a multi-site retail environment in Durbanville, South Africa. You will lead the operations finance function, ensuring revenue assurance, cash settlements, reconciliations, and robust controls across stores and delivery platforms.

You will drive financial insights, improvements and a high-performing team while ensuring compliance, audit readiness and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• Completed SAICA, SAIPA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification is advantageous.
• 5-7 years' finance experience, with 2-3 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Experience in multi-site retail, QSR, FMCG, hospitality or franchise is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee revenue across SA and UK stores and delivery platforms.
• Reconcile cash, card, delivery partner and merchant settlements.
• Monitor aged reconciliation items and settlement variances.
• Lead month-end and year-end close for operational finance.
• Develop revenue assurance controls and reporting.
• Provide financial insight to operational leaders.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and provide supporting docs.
• Lead and develop the Operations Finance team.
