Red Ember Recruitment is seeking an Operations Finance Administrator for a client in Plattekloof. The role focuses on accurate recording and reconciliation of multi-site revenue across SA and UK entities, including imports, bank reconciliations and month-end support.

The successful candidate will handle sales imports, cashbook reconciliations, POS and tender reconciliations, accounts receivable and platform settlements, contributing to month-end close and financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting or finance.
• 2–3 years in operational finance, cashbook, bank, tender, debtor or store reconciliations.
• ERP/accounting system experience and POS/sales-import familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Import, validate and post daily, weekly and month-end sales files.
• Reconcile cashbook transactions to bank statements.
• Reconcile store-level POS sales against bank/merchant settlements.
• Manage reconciliations across cash, card, click-and-collect and delivery platforms.
• Investigate discrepancies, missing receipts, refunds, chargebacks, merchant fees.
• Maintain accounts receivable records, including ageing and statements.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Produce reconciliation and exception reports and trackers.
• Liaise with Stores, Operations, Finance, IT and external partners.
• Identify recurring issues and contribute to process improvements and automation.

Red Ember Recruitment is currently seeking an Operations Finance Administrator on behalf of our client based in Plattekloof.

This is an opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional to join a busy operational finance environment, supporting the accurate recording and reconciliation of multi-site revenue across South African and UK entities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for sales imports, bank and cashbook reconciliations, POS and tender reconciliations, accounts receivable, delivery-platform settlements and month-end finance support .

• Import, validate and post daily, weekly and month-end sales files.
• Reconcile cashbook transactions to bank statements.
• Reconcile store-level POS sales against bank and merchant settlements.
• Manage reconciliations across cash, card, click-and-collect and delivery platforms.
• Investigate discrepancies, missing receipts, refunds, chargebacks, commissions and merchant fees.
• Maintain accurate accounts receivable records, including matching, reconciliations, statements and ageing.
• Perform trend and exception analysis on delivery-platform settlements.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepare balance-sheet reconciliation support and investigate outstanding items.
• Produce reconciliation reports, exception reports and commission trackers.
• Liaise with Stores, Operations, Finance, IT and external payment/delivery partners.
• Provide supporting documentation for audits and finance reviews.
• Identify recurring issues and contribute to process improvements and automation.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–3 years' experience in operational finance, cashbook, bank, tender, debtor or store reconciliations.
• Experience within QSR, FMCG or multi-site retail would be advantageous.
• Strong experience working with an ERP/accounting system.
• Experience with POS or sales-import processes.
• Working knowledge of Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, month-end close and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills are essential, including lookups, PivotTables and high-volume data analysis.
• Payment gateway and delivery-platform experience would be advantageous.
