Placements24 is seeking an experienced Mine Operations Manager to lead our open-pit mining operations in East London. The role focuses on safe, efficient, and profitable execution of drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling, with responsibility for a large operations team and an integrated fleet of equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years in open-pit mining, including at least 5 in leadership roles, and a strong track record in planning, production optimization, and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years open-pit mining experience, with at least 5 in management.
• Proven expertise in mine planning, production optimization, and cost control.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of open-pit mine operations to meet production, cost, and safety targets.
• Develop and implement operational plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Oversee the management and maintenance of the mining fleet and associated equipment.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards and regulations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of mining professionals and supervisors.
