Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Mine Operations Manager to oversee daily operations at a major facility in Gauteng. You will lead drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling activities while driving safe, efficient, and cost-effective extraction to meet production targets.

The role requires a strong leadership presence, deep mining knowledge, and a commitment to continuous improvement within the mining sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive mine operations leadership experience.
• Proven ability to manage large operational teams and complex mining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all aspects of daily mine operations (drilling, blasting, loading, hauling).
• Enforce health and safety protocols to maintain a zero-harm workplace.
• Develop and manage operational budgets, control costs, and maximize productivity.
• Lead, motivate and develop a team of supervisors and staff.
• Monitor performance metrics, identify improvements, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with mining regulations, environmental standards, and company policies in Gauteng.
