Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in South Africa seeks a Consulting Systems Engineer to provide end-to-end network design and technical leadership across mobility, security, and branch solutions. This role involves both pre- and post-sales consulting with customers and partners, often working outside HPE offices.

A strong networking background and 5–8 years in network technologies are required. The position is onsite with collaboration across account teams to deliver value and technical outcomes

Qualifications

• First-level university technical degree or equivalent.
• 5–8 years' experience in network technologies.
• Technical certifications strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Applies knowledge of the unstructured data market and technology and HPE Networking portfolio, articulating proposals, and ensuring customer's business and technical needs are being met.
• Tracks industry trends and emerging technologies and leverages this knowledge with the customer's technical environment.
• Contributes to industry developments through content support, presentations, demos, booth support at conferences and events.
• Designs network solutions aligned to customer's business requirements and environment.
• Participates in deep-dive discussions to articulate value, define differentiators, and draft high-level designs.
• Delivers optimal results balancing costs, scope, and benefits to drive value.
• Collaborates with account leadership to develop and communicate key value propositions and identify opportunities.
