Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking an experienced Networking Presales Engineer to provide technical leadership and support in designing end-to-end networking solutions for customers, working onsite at partner/customer offices in Sandton.

The role requires 3–5 years in networking, strong consultative skills, and proficiency in English and French. You will collaborate with account teams, contribute to pipeline development, and participate in regional events to promote HPE Networking offerings.

Qualifications

• First-level university technical degree or equivalent.
• Advanced degree in technology preferred.
• Technical experience in IT with a focus on networking solutions.
• 3–5 years' experience in network technologies; English and French speaking is desired.

Responsibilities

• Applies knowledge of the unstructured data market and technology and HPE Networking portfolio, articulating proposals, and ensuring customer's business and technical needs are being met.
• Contributes to industry developments through content support, presentations, demos, booth support at conferences and events, and social media.
• Designs network solutions aligned to customer's business requirements, leveraging their knowledge and the customer's technical environment.
• Participates in the account's business planning processes.
• Collaborates with account leadership (HPE and Partners) to develop and communicate key value propositions and opportunities.
• Proactively contributes to building pipeline by identifying opportunities within the territory.
• Documents ongoing work throughout the sales cycle using specified tools and shares best practices with peers and partners.
• Proactively shares knowledge with peers and helps develop more junior team members.
