The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience, strong BGP/OSPF, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud networking skills, with familiarity in SolarWinds/Nagios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in enterprise network design, implementation and support.
• CCNA, CCNP or CCIE certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage complex enterprise network architectures, including LAN, WAN, and cloud connectivity.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration standards, and operational procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents and problems, ensuring minimal downtime and service impact.
• Proactively monitor network performance, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network requirements are met for new projects and services.
• Stay abreast of emerging network technologies and industry best practices, recommending improvements to the existing infrastructure.
• Develop and implement network security policies and procedures to protect against unauthorized access and threats.
• Perform regular network capacity planning and performance tuning to ensure scalability and efficiency.
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new network hardware and software solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency network support as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on enterprise-level network design, implementation, and support.
• Extensive experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), and VPNs.
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios) and performance analysis.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other network services.
• Experience with cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a significant advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Proven experience in network security best practices and implementation.
