The ideal candidate has 10+ years in mining project management, a strong mining engineering background, and proficiency in PMI/Prince2. PMP certification is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• A Master's degree in Project Management or an MBA is a strong advantage.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within the mining and minerals processing industry, with a proven track record of managing large-scale capital projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Prince2) and proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Strong understanding of mining operations, engineering principles, and construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and delivery of major mining projects within scope, timelines, and budgets.
• Develop detailed project plans including scope, resources, risk, and stakeholder strategies.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams of engineers, contractors and suppliers.
• Monitor progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental and regulatory compliance.
• Manage contracts and procurements.
• Provide status reports to senior management.
