Placements24 is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager for a major mining infrastructure project in Rustenburg, North West. You will lead the planning, execution, and close-out of large capital works, overseeing budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safely and on time.

The role requires a track record of managing $50M+ projects in mining, strong leadership, and fluency with Primavera P6/MS Project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM, Civil, Mining or related field.
• PMP certification is highly desirable.
• 10+ years in construction project management, 5+ in mining/heavy industry.
• Experience managing $50M+ capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of mining construction methodologies and safety practices.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of construction project management for mining infrastructure, including processing plants, shafts, and related facilities.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Ensure safety, environmental standards, and quality control throughout the construction process.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, site supervisors, contractors, and support staff.
• Coordinate with internal departments, external contractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage procurement processes, contract negotiations, and vendor relationships.
• Prepare regular progress reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure successful handover of completed projects and contractual obligations.
• Champion safety, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency.
