Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for Rustenburg to lead complex mining and energy infrastructure projects end-to-end. You will plan, execute, and monitor projects, balancing cost, schedule and quality while ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

The role requires 8+ years in project engineering/management, strong leadership, and hands-on experience with MS Project or Primavera P6. A hybrid work arrangement is offered to balance site and office duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Electrical).
• 8+ years of progressive experience in project engineering or management.
• Experience in mining or energy infrastructure projects preferred.
• Contract administration experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mining and energy infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
• Develop detailed project plans including scope, schedule and budget.
• Oversee site operations, safety and quality compliance.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for timely delivery.
• Provide regular progress reports to senior management.
• Ensure permits and environmental standards are met.
• Support tendering and proposal development.
