About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Mining Engineer with a strong focus on mine planning to join their team in Sandton . This role is vital for developing and executing strategic mine plans that ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective extraction of resources. You will work closely with geological, operational, and financial teams to create short-term and long-term mine plans, optimize resource utilization, and manage capital projects. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills, a deep understanding of mining methodologies, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable plans that drive profitability and operational success for their Gauteng -based operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and update short-term and long-term mine plans, including production schedules and resource allocation.
• Optimize mine designs and sequences to maximize resource recovery and minimize costs.
• Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for new mining projects and expansions.
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure effective implementation of mine plans.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and budgets for mine planning initiatives.
• Stay abreast of mining technology advancements and implement best practices in mine planning.

Requirements
