You will collaborate with geologists, surveyors, and production managers to translate strategic objectives into actionable schedules, drawing on Deswik or MineSight. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in mine planning/design and a strong understanding of mining

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in mine planning and design, open-pit or underground.
• Proficient with Deswik, MineSight or similar planning tools.
• Strong understanding of mining economics, geology and operations.
• Analytical with strategic planning and problem-solving skills.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading project teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed short-term and long-term mine plans and schedules.
• Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for new mining projects and expansions.
• Optimize mine layout, production sequences, and equipment utilization.
• Collaborate with geotechnical engineers to ensure mine stability and safety standards are met.
• Analyze production data and propose adjustments to plans to achieve operational targets.
• Prepare technical documentation and present mine plans to management and stakeholders.
