- Experience with Deswik, Vulcan or AutoCAD mining software.
- Strong understanding of mining economics, cost control and production optimization.
- Proven leadership and ability to manage diverse on-site teams.
- Knowledge of South African mining legislation and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement short- and long-term mine production plans to meet ore targets.
- Oversee daily mining operations, ensuring safety, enviro standards, and schedules.
- Analyze mining equipment performance to identify improvements and cost reductions.
- Manage operational budgets and allocate resources effectively.
- Collaborate with geotechnical, ventilation and surveying teams for safe mining practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on site.
