Qualifications
- BSc or BEng in Mining Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in mine planning, design, and operations.
- Proficiency in Deswik, Surpac, and Vulcan.
Responsibilities
- Develop and update long-term and short-term mine plans, including production schedules and resource utilization strategies.
- Design mine layouts, stope geometries, and access routes for underground or open-pit operations.
- Conduct feasibility studies, economic evaluations, and risk assessments for new mining projects and expansions.
- Collaborate closely with site operations teams to ensure plans are practical and achievable.
- Utilize advanced mine planning software to model scenarios and optimize operational efficiency.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations detailing mine plans and economic outcomes.
