Placements24 seeks a Senior Mining Engineer in Randburg, Gauteng, to drive operational improvement and efficiency across mining operations. You will analyze current practices, identify bottlenecks, and implement innovative strategies to optimize methods, equipment utilization, and production sequencing.

The role requires a minimum of 7 years in mining operations, strong knowledge of Deswik/Vulcan/Surpac, and a proactive approach in a demanding on-site environment.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field required.
• 7+ years of experience in mining operations focusing on operational improvement and efficiency.
• Experience in open-pit and/or underground mining environments.
• Proficiency with mine planning/design software (Deswik, Vulcan, Surpac).
• Strong understanding of mining equipment, production processes and scheduling.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence and collaborate.

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize mining methods, equipment utilization, and production sequencing.
• Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for proposed changes.
