Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly qualified Mineral Resource Manager for East London, Eastern Cape. You will oversee estimation, modeling, and reporting of resources and reserves, ensuring compliance with JORC and NI 43-101, and guide strategic mine planning.

The role demands a strong geology background, 8+ years in resource estimation, leadership skills, and proficiency in Leapfrog, Vulcan, Surpac or Micromine. Hybrid work model available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in mineral resource estimation and geological modeling.
• Senior/management experience in a mining context.
• Strong knowledge of international resource reporting codes (JORC, NI 43-101).
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee resource and reserve estimations using standard software.
• Develop and maintain geological databases and ensure data integrity.
• Prepare and review resource reports in compliance with codes.
• Integrate resource information into mine plans with stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance to geology and estimation teams.
