Placements24 is recruiting a Resource Estimation Manager for a hybrid role based in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will lead a geology team, develop modeling methodologies, and ensure compliance with JORC and NI 43-101 while coordinating with mining, metallurgy, and operations teams.

The role requires a strong background in geostatistics and data interpretation, with at least 10 years in mineral exploration and resource estimation, and a proven leadership track record.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Geology or Geostatistics required.
• 10+ years of mineral exploration and resource estimation experience.
• Leadership experience (≥3 years) and a proven track record in resource estimation projects.

Aufgaben

• Lead and manage the geological team responsible for resource estimation across multiple mining projects.
• Develop robust methodologies for geological modeling and resource estimation.
• Ensure all resource estimates comply with international codes and standards (e.g., JORC, NI 43-101).
• Review and validate geological data, models, and estimation results.
• Collaborate with mine planning, metallurgy, and operations to integrate resource information into mine development strategies.
• Prepare and review technical reports, presentations, and disclosures related to mineral resources.
• Mentor and develop junior geologists and resource technicians.
• Stay current with advancements in geological modeling and resource estimation techniques.
