Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mine Surveyor for our client in Klerksdorp, North West. You will oversee precision underground and surface surveys, maintain mine control, and provide spatial data for planning, design, and production.

The role requires a Mine Surveyor CoC and at least 6 years of experience in mining surveys, with strong skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related software. You will support safety and efficiency in a demanding mining environment.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Degree in Mine Surveying or Geomatics.
• Valid Mine Surveyor's CoC.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in mine surveying with underground exposure.
• Proficient with surveying instruments and data processing software.
• Strong understanding of spatial data management and coordinate systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a demanding mining environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct precise underground and surface surveys, establishing control points and volumes.
• Utilize total stations, GPS/GNSS, scanners, and drones for spatial data collection.
• Process data with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and mine surveying software to produce plans and reports.
• Maintain and update mine survey databases and control networks.
• Provide accurate survey data to geological/engineering teams for planning and design.
• Monitor development against design plans and report discrepancies.
• Supervise and train junior surveyors and assistants.
