Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Mine Surveyor for underground operations in Pretoria. You will delineate mine workings, monitor excavation progress, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance using total stations, GPS, and laser scanning.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's in Mine Surveying or Geomatics, with at least 5 years of underground mining experience and proficiency in AutoCAD, Surpac, and MinePlan. A strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor degree in Mine Surveying or Geomatics.
Minimum 5 years as a Mine Surveyor with underground mining exposure.
Proficiency with surveying software and equipment (AutoCAD, Surpac, MinePlan).
Strong knowledge of mine surveying principles and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Conduct precise underground surveys using total stations, GPS, and laser scanning technology.
Prepare and update mine plans, sections, and cross-sections from survey data.
Establish and maintain survey control points within the mine environment.
Monitor excavation progress against planned development and report variances.
Ensure survey activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Process and interpret survey data, generating reports for mine planning teams.
