The ideal candidate has a degree in Mine Surveying or Geomatics, 6+ years of post-qualification experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Vulcan, Surpac and Minex. A valid driver's license and professional registration are advantageous.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mine Surveying or Geomatics.
• Experience in mine surveying and proficiency with surveying software.
• Strong analytical and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain, and verify mine survey control networks (surface and underground).
• Perform volumetric calculations for stockpiles, excavations, and mine voids.
• Survey mine workings, development ends, and production areas.
• Assist in drilling and blasting surveying.
• Use total stations, GPS, laser scanners, and drones for data collection.
• Process data with AutoCAD, Vulcan, Surpac, Minex to produce plans.
• Prepare mine plans, sections and regulatory reports.
• Ensure compliance with mining survey regulations.
• Mentor junior surveyors and collaborate with mine engineers.
• Coordinate with geologists and production staff for survey support.
