Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Mine Manager to lead strategic mining initiatives. This senior role oversees planning, production, safety, efficiency, and profitability, with remote oversight and strategic direction across projects.

You will mentor mine management teams, manage budgets, ensure compliance with regulations, and build relationships with regulators, communities, and investors. A track record of delivering large, multi-commodity operations is essential.

Qualifications

• BSc or BEng in Mining Engineering or related field; MBA advantageous.
• Minimum 15 years in mining with 7+ years in senior management.
• Experience in multi-commodity mining operations and remote management.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for all mining operations.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective extraction in line with regulations.
• Develop and manage operational budgets, capex, and KPIs.
• Lead and mentor mine management teams for high performance.
• Oversee mine planning, geology evaluation, and resource management.
• Build strong regulatory, community, and investor relationships.
