Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Mine Manager to lead strategic mining initiatives. This senior role oversees planning, production, safety, efficiency, and profitability, with remote oversight and strategic direction across projects.

You will mentor mine management teams, manage budgets, ensure compliance with regulations, and build relationships with regulators, communities, and investors. A track record of delivering large, multi-commodity operations is essential.

Qualifications

• BSc or BEng in Mining Engineering or related field; MBA advantageous.
• Minimum 15 years in mining with 7+ years in senior management.
• Experience in multi-commodity mining operations and remote management.

About the Role

Requirements

BSc or BEng in Mining Engineering or a related discipline; an MBA is advantageous. Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in the mining industry, with at least 7 years in senior management roles. Demonstrated success in managing complex mining operations, preferably in multiple commodities. Extensive knowledge of mining technologies, safety practices, and environmental management. Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and financial acumen. Proven ability to manage remote teams and operations effectively.
