Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mine Planning Manager for a remote-first mining organization. You will design and drive long-term, strategic mine plans, optimize resource usage, and ensure economic feasibility across global projects.

You will manage a remote team of engineers and geologists, lead the adoption of Deswik, Vulcan, and MineScape, and guide feasibility studies while coordinating with finance and operations to maximize value.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• MBA or equivalent business experience is a strong asset.
• 10+ years in mine planning/engineering with managerial exposure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee long-term strategic mine plans, including resource modeling, production scheduling, and financial projections.
• Lead and mentor a remote team of mine planning engineers and geologists.
• Oversee selection and application of advanced mine planning software and technologies.
• Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for new projects and expansions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with virtual teams across departments and time zones.
