Qualifications
- Advanced degree in geotechnical/mining engineering or closely related field.
- 10+ years of progressive mine geotechnical experience with complex projects.
- Expertise in rock mass characterization, slope stability, underground support design.
- Experience mentoring engineers and communicating complex technical info.
- Experience working in remote or distributed teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced geotechnical analyses for underground and open-pit cases.
- Design and review ground support, rock bolting, and shotcrete solutions.
- Assess stability of tailings and waste facilities.
- Plan geotechnical investigations including drilling and testing.
- Model ground behavior using specialized software and assess risks.
- Collaborate remotely with planning, operations, and exploration teams.
