Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Engineer to lead the design and coordination of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for healthcare facilities in Polokwane, Limpopo. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Pr.Eng registration with ECSA is required.
• Minimum 8 years of MEP experience with healthcare facility projects.
• Strong HVAC, electrical power distribution, medical gas and plumbing expertise.
• Proficiency with Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP and IES VE; BIM coordination experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and specification of MEP systems for healthcare facilities.

About the Role

Our client, a renowned engineering consultancy specializing in building services for critical facilities, is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Engineer to lead projects in Polokwane, Limpopo. This role focuses on the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for complex healthcare projects, including hospitals and clinics. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of MEP design principles, system integration, and the specific requirements of healthcare environments. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, coordination, and implementation of MEP systems, ensuring they meet stringent performance, safety, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) registration with ECSA is required.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in MEP engineering, with a significant focus on healthcare facility projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in HVAC, electrical power distribution, emergency systems, medical gas systems, and plumbing.
• Proficiency in MEP design software (e.g., Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, IES VE) and BIM coordination.
• Thorough understanding of healthcare facility operational requirements and compliance standards.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience in managing consultants and contractors in a construction environment.
