Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer for a fully remote, contractor role focusing on energy storage systems. You will manage the complete lifecycle of mechanical projects from inception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality outcomes.

You will leverage a strong background in project management and mechanical design for complex systems, with Agile/Waterfall experience, remote collaboration, and stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of proven experience in mechanical project engineering and management.
• Experience with renewable energy or energy storage projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical engineering projects from scope definition to handover.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans with timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams, suppliers and stakeholders to meet milestones.
• Oversee design, procurement, installation and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Conduct regular project reviews and provide status updates with risk mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations and quality control.
• Proactively manage project risks and mitigation strategies.
• Prepare comprehensive project reports and lessons learned.
• Facilitate effective communication among project participants for a cohesive workflow.
