Placements24 is seeking a remote Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the full mechanical design lifecycle of advanced energy storage systems. You will own 3D CAD development, BOM creation, and cross-functional collaboration with electrical, software, and product teams from a globally distributed setup.

The role requires a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, 7+ years of progressive design experience, and expert CAD/FEA/CFD skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and development of complex energy storage systems.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and BOMs.
• Perform FEA/CFD analyses including stress, thermal, and vibration studies.
• Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams.
• Define material specs and work with vendors and manufacturers.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and design reports.
• Drive innovation and apply new design methods.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Support transition to manufacturing and troubleshoot issues.
• Participate in virtual design reviews and team meetings.
