Placements24 is seeking a highly capable Mechanical Design Engineer to advance renewable energy solutions. You will design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems for solar, wind, or other clean tech, using CAD and FEA, in a globally distributed team.

This fully remote role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, 6+ years in design, and collaboration across disciplines. The position offers flexible hours and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of professional mechanical design experience, preferably in renewable energy systems.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor) and FEA tools.
• Strong understanding of materials science, mechanics of materials and thermodynamics.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize mechanical components and systems for renewable energy applications using CAD software.
• Perform stress and thermal analyses and simulations to ensure performance.
• Collaborate remotely with cross‑functional teams including electrical engineers and manufacturing specialists.
• Create detailed technical drawings, BOMs and design documentation.
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities.
• Research and evaluate new materials and design methodologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
