Placements24 is seeking a highly capable Mechanical Design Engineer to advance renewable energy solutions. You will design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems for solar, wind, or other clean tech, using CAD and FEA, in a globally distributed team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of professional mechanical design experience, preferably in renewable energy systems.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor) and FEA tools.
• Strong understanding of materials science, mechanics of materials and thermodynamics.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize mechanical components and systems for renewable energy applications using CAD software.
• Perform stress and thermal analyses and simulations to ensure performance.
• Collaborate remotely with cross‑functional teams including electrical engineers and manufacturing specialists.
• Create detailed technical drawings, BOMs and design documentation.
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize mechanical components and systems for renewable energy applications using advanced CAD software.

• Collaborate remotely with cross‑functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing specialists.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and design documentation.
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities.
• Research and evaluate new materials, technologies, and design methodologies to improve product efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in mechanical design, with specific experience in renewable energy systems preferred.
