Job summary

Pedros Chicken is opening a brand-new store in Polokwane, Limpopo. We are seeking energetic individuals to join the launch team and help build a strong store culture from day one.

The role focuses on restaurant/ take-away operations, quality SOPs, stock management, customer service, and staff development to drive profitability and growth. Experience in fast-food is preferred and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant or fast-food operations.
• Leadership and people-management abilities are preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety and SOPs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing overall operation of the restaurant/ take-away.
• Ensure quality standards and adherence to SOPs.
• Oversee stock control, purchasing and orders.
• Handle customer complaints and maintain service levels.
• Drive profitability and achieve sales and GP% targets.
• Manage staff including discipline and rosters.
• Work in a team and drive the store forward.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage opening and closing procedures daily.
• Participate in marketing to promote the store.
• Handle customer service relations and timeframes.
• Coordinate training programmes for staff development.
• Lead recruitment and monitor performance to raise productivity.
• Conduct staff performance evaluations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Overseeing overall operation of the restaurant/ take-away
2. Ensuring quality standards of food and COMPANY'S Standard Operating Procedures are maintained
3. Overseeing and managing stock control, purchasing and orders
4. Dealing with customer complaints and maintaining customer service levels of the restaurant/ take-away
5. Maximising profitability and meeting sales and GP% targets, including motivating staff to do so
6. Managing staff including discipline and work rosters.
7. Work within a team and drive the restaurant/take-away forward
8. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
9. Ensure daily opening and closing procedures are conducted at the store
10. Marketing activities – to ensure that promotion and incentive programmes are introduced at the store
11. Customer service relations management – handling of customer service complaints and ensuring complaints are handled within the required time frame
12. People management – ensure training programmes are in place for staff development and to maintain and carry out regular structured staff meetings at the store
13. Recruitment and selection – leading, training and monitoring the performance of the team in the store to increase productivity and profitability
14. Performance evaluation of staff

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Restaurant and Fast-Food Service experience. Minimum 3 years related experience required
2. GAAP experience and knowledge - Advantageous
